My tongue started feeling funny last week, like I burned it on a hot drink or something. But after a week, it didn&#8217;t go away, so I got suspicious and looked in the mirror. My tongue is brown! How gross. Luckily, I was passing through Santa Lucia (home of Peace Corps HQ) today, so I stopped in to visit the medical officer. The best they can figure, I have contracted something called &#8220;geographic tongue&#8221;. Never heard of it. They tell me it&#8217;s a viral infection, and it makes your tongue look blotchy like a map (hence &#8220;geographic&#8221;). I don&#8217;t like it, but since it&#8217;s viral, I just have to wait for it to go away.
