The Prairie Players Community Theatre is an acting troupe with a long history, located in a town with ties back to the railroad era of the 1800s. When an historic warehouse was gifted to them in 2007, they began the process of exploring creative and cost-effective ways to adapt the structure to meet their needs. I helped them develop a program based on their current and anticipated requirements, analyzed their existing structure to anticipate necessary structural, mechanical, and electrical upgrades, and helped them develop a design that respected the historic nature of the building and its neighborhood while accommodating a modern, community-based theater business.
